Alfredo Garbisu is the president of the Spanish Federation of Padel. At the microphone of our colleagues from Padel Spain speaks of his fears about the future of the padel sector.

Spain is looking for a plan to return to its activities. The president of the government Pedro Sánchez having pronounced yesterday Tuesday, the near future is not all rosy.

On the padel side, the president of the FEP is counting on the players and their common sense so that the activity can resume in the best conditions. If everyone does their part, we will all come out of this difficult ordeal very quickly.

A difficult test, that is exactly what Spanish padel is experiencing. A large number of clubs, players, instructors, territorial federations and a national federation that cannot help, that is the picture.

Even if the Spanish government announces the ppossible resumption of individual training for professionals as well as the opening of high performance centers under security measures, the resumption of competitions is not yet possible, and even less the resumption of leisure matches.

So this is the situation of padel in Spain. Clubs that have no income, professional players who no longer have competitions, organizers who can no longer organize, and federations with few funds that cannot help and relaunch the resumption of the activity.

As Garbisu says: "Later the activity will resume, more damage will be done to our sport and their actors".
