WPT Brussels: Los Superpibes at the end of the suspense

What a show for his first semi-finals. After an exceptional match between Josemaria/Sanchez and Ortega/Araujo, the Belgian public witnessed another thundering semi-final between Sanyo/Gonzalez and Los Superpibes.

A spectacular game

What a game. Difficult to describe these first semi-finals in Brussels. Since the start of the tournament, Los Superpibes have rarely been bothered, but this morning the Argentinians were facing good customers. For their first tournament together, Sanyo and Momo González display admirable ease and an interesting level of play. Sanyo seems to be regaining the ease he had on the pitch with Tapia last year and Momo is still impressive defensively. In the first set, los “Supermanos” heckle the number two seed. As if they had always played together, Sanyo and Momo Gonzalez shake up Los Superpibes and win the first round 6/4.

Franco Stupaczuk and Martin Di Nenno are not the type to surrender. Completely reinvigorated, Los Superpibes will dictate the second set and inflict a 6/0 in the second run to go back to one set all over.

Los Superpibes fly away for a 3rd consecutive final

The battle is fierce in the third round. input Gonzalez/Gutierrez breaks and takes the lead. Los Supermanos will even offer themselves a match point at 5/3 on Stupa's service. Los Superpibes hunker down and manage to unbreak at 5/5. It was Di Nenno and Stupa's turn to get match points at 6/5, the Spanish-Argentine pair resisted and pushed the Argentines to the tie-break. At the end of the suspense, Di Nenno and Stupa end up winning in a resounding match 4/6 6/0 7/6.

After Granada and Asuncion, Los Superpibes offer themselves a third consecutive final and patiently await the name of their future adversaries. We will know the poster of the final after the meeting Coello/Tapia – Chingotto/Navarro from 17 p.m. on Canal + Sports 360 just after the other women's semi-finals.

For Stupa and Di Nenno the objective is clear, to win their first title of the season on the World Padel Tour.
