Just before the big Benitez/Rubio sensation, there was another surprise at the World Padel Tour Malaga Open: the victory of Nieto/Yanguas against Di Nenno/Navarro.
This is obviously a first this season: the two best pairs on the circuit are absent from the quarter-finals!
Indeed, facing Miguel Yanguas and Coki Nieto, it was Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno who took the door. In a very tight match, with many twists and turns, the young players were solid each time at the end of the set to come away with the victory.
