WPT - New pairs for 2021!

All the end of the season from World Padel Tour are accompanied by many changes in the pairs of players. This season, we could well have a triple earthquake on the circuit!

The end of Gemma Triay and Lucia Sainz

The two Spaniards end the season at No. 1 in the ranking. After five seasons spent together, they would have decided to separate to embark on a new adventure.

Their new No.1 status allows them to have the choice on the circuit, and thus to choose with whom to play.

Gemma Triay x Alejandra Salazar

According to the sources of “Anaslistas Padel", Gemma Triay would have chosen Alejandra Salazar.

If this association is confirmed, this pair would be one of the favorites to dominate the women's circuit. Two experienced players, who know very well the last squares of WPT, and the first places of the ranking.

Lucia Sainz x Bea Gonzalez

Lucia Sainz, meanwhile, would embark on an affair with Bea Gonzalez.

This pair is very promising: an alliance between an experienced player who is currently at the top of her game (Sainz), and a very promising player, of pure talent, who has not yet reached her best (Gonzalez). Bea will have a lot to learn from Lucia, and this pair could gain momentum in the 2021 season.

Paula Josemaria x Ariana Sanchez

Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez would therefore both be free and thus form the third pair.

This pair is not the most anticipated, but may well surprise in 2021. These two players of the same generation understand the padel in the same way. If a strong bond were to be born, we could well find them regularly in the final of the WPT.

This information is provided by the very informed Emilio Forcher Henninger, and relayed by “Analistas Padel”. They are therefore not official, but most likely true.

The end between Galan and Iglesias

Two players who are very good friends in life decide to go their separate ways on the field after a rather disappointing season. As she has announced on his Instagram account, Alba Galan will return to play on the left side, which is quite logical given his 84 meter! We do not know for the moment who these two players will start 2021.
