Jon sanz et Ale Galan faced this Friday afternoon in the quarter-finals of this Human Padel Open the formidable Juan Tello and Alex Ruiz. It is after almost three hours of play that the Spanish pair emerged victorious of this match and it must be said that the end of this confrontation ended in the mind.

Jon Sanz returned to our microphone on this crazy match.

“A new stage”

Throughout the game, the two teams went blow for blow, leaving the public in total suspense as to the outcome of this meeting. The match ended in a tie-break of more than 20 minutes. Suffice to say that the pressure and tension were palpable. So we asked this young 22-year-old player how he managed not to crack.

“It's a lot of work for my psychologist. No just kidding (Laughter). We can say that after more than two and a half hours of running all over the track, we shouldn't miss an opportunity. Remember that we are there for two small points. We had to let nothing go.”

Jon Sanz and Ale Galan celebrate victory

“As I mentioned in an interview, this is a new stage. With Ale, we are playing our second tournament together, we will see how long it will last. I'm very happy and we want to do things well like today.

“A thrill to play matches like this”

"Alex and Juan asked for the VAR on a ball yes but in the replay we can't see well. Personally I don't see either, they are the ones who see the ball better than us. For me it was a healthy match. and it's a real pleasure to play games like this."
