A few days ago the French Interleague Youth Championships were held in Toulouse Padel Club.

It was the occasion for Padel Magazine to talk with Yann Auradou and Christian Collange, two members of the Mission Padel of the French Tennis Federation. The two men, accompanied by Marianne Vandaele and Alexia Dechaume, have the mission of developing the padel in youngsters as well as ladies. Note that Christian Collange is also Chairman of the commission padel for the PACA league.

At our microphone, they came back to the double victory of the PACA region but also on the future of padel French at the seeds of champions

“An increasingly high level”

Christian Collange: "We are proud of young people et of the prevailing atmosphere. This year it was a real championship with 12 leagues so there was a lot of competition, we saw it with the boys. Ditto for girls we win in 3 sets. What should be emphasized is above all the general level which continues to rise. For me it's the padel who is winning. "

Yann Auradou: " For my part I saw a very high level even in U14. Obviously it is the generations that will push us towards the exit tomorrow. "

CC : “We have great coaches who follow the kids all year round and I don't have to come and tell them anything. I have neither the experience nor the level to come and put myself in the shoes of the teachers. In the sense that everyone is in their place. I am there with the league to frame, structure and set things up because I obviously have a lot of experience on the club and teaching side.

YA: " We have a very good pool of players, after will they go to Valencia, it's not for me to say in any case our two teams will be competitive and it's a good thing for the future of the padel in France. "

“Develop the padel among young people and among ladies”

CC : " Our mission padel was also created for this. We have two objectives. First of all the young people, because we cannot launch a sport like this without there being a structure for young people. And then the padel feminine. In other countries the percentage of female players can go up to 50% so there's no reason we can't get there in the next two years. we are there for that. "

YA: "As Christian puts it so well, these are the two main objectives of the Mission. This is only the beginning of the adventure, we must continue. You will find out more in issue 2 ofInstinct Padel !
