As part of the 5th tournament of the professional season, 2 French representatives were playing today.

Last French player still in contention in the men's draw, Jérémy Scatena had a good shot at an 3e pre-caution round. After defeating 2 TOP100 players yesterday, we were pretty upbeat before seeing him face 2 ranked players 120e and 128e in the WPT rankings.

A 6 / 1 6 / 4 defeat and some regrets after yesterday's big game.

In the women's painting, Laura Clergue made her entrance as early as the pre-previas. Accustomed to enter the foreground, Laura had the courage to play with a less well ranked partner and so having to move back a notch in the table.

An 1er set won 7 / 6 that allowed his team to gain confidence and conclude the match 6 / 3 in the second set.

After a difficult period, it is a pleasure to see Laura leave in a positive way. It is necessary to chain as soon as the next match which seems a priori within reach.

Note the defeat from the 3e round of pre-previas for Christian G. Gutierrez and Augustin Gutierrez who are regulars of the last rounds of previas.

Despite the absence of his usual partner, Javier Escalante, the Argentine Andres Britos is qualified for the previas after his victory 6 / 1 6 / 1 in the last round of pre-previas. He will headline the P1000 next Weekend in Lille.
