The responsibility for concluding then fell to the recent champions of France Bastien Blanqué and Thomas Leygue. Opposed to Adorno / Fernandez, the tricolor delivered a solid match, winning 6/3 6/2 and avoiding France an unplayable quarter-final against Argentina.

This success echoes the first place of the French, who took advantage of the defeat of Sweden against Brazil to rank first in their pool.
