The only tricolor competing in Belgium this week, Alix Collombon qualified this evening for the second round of P2 in Brussels alongside Julieta Bidahorria.

The Franco-Argentinian pair faced the Belgian numbers one and two in the first round, Helena Wyckaert (101) et An Sophie Mestach (152). After an observation round at the start of the game, Collombon and his partner made the first break and quickly flew to victory in the first round with a score of six games to two.

In the second set, supported by the public of the Central Court of the Gare Maritime Tour & Taxis, the Belgians held on and got a first and last break point, without success. Collombon and Bidahorria stepped up again to conclude with a final break: 6/2 – 6/3 in just over an hour of play.

As in Puerto Cabello, Alix Collombon and Julieta Bidahorria enter the second round of a P2, and once again, a big challenge awaits them. The French number one and her partner will challenge the world number two, Delfina Brea et Beatriz gonzalez.
