Clubs padel have been closed for almost 6 weeks now because of this unprecedented crisis linked to the Coronavirus. An unprecedented health crisis that has perhaps affected you directly or indirectly.

It is difficult today to have certainties, information jostling and counter-claiming. Only thing certain: it is necessary put an end to the recovery of padel to May 11. There are still questions about the possibility of play 1 on 1 on a field of padel.

We relay you official information from the Ministry of Sports, which is submitted to the government:

"Resumption of associative and federal activities:

Given the difficulty of resuming sport overall, proposal to structure the recovery in 3 stages:

  • 1st stage: from May 11 to June 15 : resumption of sports activities only for sports associations which wish to help the resumption of the reopening of schools (and therefore not outside this school framework). Concretely, proposal that the sports associations make a service offer at the local level coordinated by the FD to allow the duplication of classes (part of the class will be taught while the other part will do sport). 14 federations already have an agreement with the National Education. Reflection in progress to propose to them to mobilize in priority.
  • 2nd stage: from June 15th : associations wishing to do so can resume their activities in small groups (proposal to set the limit at 30 people). Beyond this resumption of activity in small groups, proposal that sports associations can join the national system which will be implemented around a "vacation plan": that associations can formulate a service offer around sports courses for children with priority for the public who will not go on vacation, ie around 200 people.
  • 3rd stage: August / September : return to sports: return to "classic" activities (in compliance with health and social distancing rules probably still in force) "

As you can see, this information is very vague and needs to be refined according to the specifics of the sports and the size of the associations. We will keep you posted but it seems that the clubs will only be able to re-open from June 15 under certain conditions and probably gradually.

The financial impacts are terrible. But it is too early to take stock. Good luck to all in this terrible ordeal.
