The information has already been circulating for months, but has only been official for a few days: the 4Padel Strasbourg is expected to become by September the largest complex of padel of the northern half of France.

“By September, announces Alexis Clément, director of 4Padel, we will have 7 more indoor courts, so 12 indoor courts in addition to our 2 outdoor courts, so that's 14 tracks in total!”

Four football pitches to dismantle

To satisfy the fans of padel and add seven indoor tracks to the five that already exist, Group 4Padel had to make a difficult decision: to give up its four indoor football pitches to become a 100% padel.

Such a decision was made using the experience of other centers 4Padel of the group, like that of Toulouse-Colomiers, which has already given up football and now offers 11 padel, including 8 indoors.

Another decisive factor which motivated the decision taken in Strasbourg: an occupancy rate of the padel among the best in France, with significant delays in obtaining a reservation.

“A few years ago in Strasbourg, you could book two days in advance, or even the same day, remembers Alexis Clément. Now, you really have to plan three weeks in advance to get land, it shows that there is really a real enthusiasm”.

Almost two months of closure

From a practical point of view, the construction of seven new tracks of padel - starting July 17 – will require the rearrangement of the room and the dismantling of four football pitches. Indoor football fans will therefore have to turn to the competition to satisfy their passion.

The works are at this stage scheduled for July and August, with the objective of reopening as soon as possible in September. If all goes as planned, a brand new complex will welcome the participants of the biggest event of padel of 2023 in Strasbourg: the P2000 organized from November 24 to 26 under FFT Padel Tour.
