What a game ! Patty Llaguno / Virginia Riera and Aranzazu Osoro / Victoria Iglesias gave us a magnificent match this afternoon at the Madrid Arena.

It was one of the most attractive posters on paper and it delivered on all of its promises! Almost three hours of play, 9 “puntos de oro”, suspense to spare. All the spectators will be delighted in front of this very big part.

While they had won the first set 6/3, the underdogs Aranzazu Osoro and Victoria Iglesias suffered a comeback from the players of Neki Berwig, who never gave up.

Touched in the abdominals, Victoria Iglesias will have given everything on the track, like on this magnificent outing. After losing the second set 7/5, Pablo Ayma's players returned to coal. They even managed to save three match points to snatch the tie-break in the last round.

Not worried by the fact that they had missed three chances to conclude, Llaguno and Riera approached the decisive game with a lot of serenity, leaving only a small point to their opponents. Uncompromising, they win 3/6 7/5 7/6 (1).

We will therefore find the seed 3 in the semi-final tomorrow. While waiting to know their opponents, the Spaniard and Argentina will have to rest well after such a fight. Tomorrow, they will find on their way either Paula Josemaria / Ari Sanchez, or Marta Ortega / Bea Gonzalez, who face each other at 17:00 p.m.

In the meantime, it is the penultimate men's quarterfinal that will be played out. A 100% Argentinian shock between Gutiérrez / Tapia and Chingotto / Tello, to follow just below:
