A professional circuit of padel on the American continent will see the light of day very soon. At the origin of this circuit, Fabrice Pastor, who is saying goodbye to Europe for the moment but who is relaunching across the Atlantic and through the front door. A professional circuit that should not be linked to the International Federation of Padel, nor obviously at World Padel Tour, the current professional circuit of padel.

America: A springboard

The Fabrice Pastor Cup is over. And we know to what extent this South American circuit had made it possible to discover some nuggets such as the Tello / Chingotto pair. International Padel Tower had to bow to the World Padel Tour, the current professional circuit.

Fabrice Pastor who had indicated his deep disappointment following the failure of the IPT seemed not to want to get involved in the sport that had disappointed him so much ... But that was before.

Europe has disappointed him. Europe has "betrayed" him, he explained. He is thus conquering a new world, where almost everything remains to be done: America.

A circuit of at least 14 steps

It launches a professional and international circuit which should offer 14 stages "at least" on the whole American continent with prize money worthy of the biggest international competitions.

The stages would thus offer $ 3 for the Challengers to $ 000 for the Grand Slams.

The Continental American Federation of Padel  is growing and could well become one of the strongholds of padel global. The Continental American Federation announces stages from Canada to Argentina.

The objective: The promotion of padel and the development of padel .

A circuit competing with FIP and WPT

This circuit which is being created on the American continent is a huge thorn for the FIP and the WPT. A thorn that could turn into a huge problem if things continue like this.

Because Fabrice Pastor who said to himself "rejected and betrayed by international institutions”Did not say his last word. He fully intends to create this international circuit and to capture very great players from padel.

Pros might want to stay on the American continent

Because yes, if this circuit develops throughout the American continent and offers enough prize money, there may well be a leak of some Argentine players to the new circuit. Others who wanted to join Spain could be tempted by the new American circuit.

Why ? It's hard to find a place for WPT pro players. There are very few elected officials who can truly live from their passion.

For players from South America, playing in Spain is a cost and a huge risk. And as you know most of the WPT stages are played in Spain ... The calculation will be fast for many players.

Le World Padel Tour is the professional circuit of padel since 2013. It is recognized by the International Federation of Padel. These two institutions have also agreed on a common project and especially on a single classification. A huge step forward for the padel .

Except that, if things evolve as the Continental American Federation hopes, we could eventually have 2 professional circuits of padel, one from Europe and the other from America and therefore obtain 2 different rankings while we finally glimpsed the unification of world rankings. All the more so as some European nations support Fabrice Pastor's circuit… And we could see the European Padel Association (EPA) in conflict with the FIP be in close relationship with the Continental American Padel Federation.

Europe which offers 2 European championships of padel on the same week, a professional circuit which would see the light of day in a few weeks / months on the American continent without any link with the FIP and the WPT ...

The coming months are crucial for the institutions of padel. We keep our fingers crossed that the interests of padel predominate because we believe that these different conflicts do not bring any good to the ambitions of the padel.

Feel free to give us your opinion.
