The FFT launches the organization of six tournaments Padel from August for the best French players in the support and recovery plan.

As part of phase 3 of containment release and in the continuity of the support and recovery plan set up for all its disciplines, the FFT announces the creation of six tournaments Padel P2000 throughout France between August and December 2020.

The P2000 calendar

Thanks to the organization of six P2000 female and male tournaments, the best French players in the discipline will be able to resume competition at the highest level and earn points for the French ranking. They will face each other as follows:

  1. From August 21 to 23 at TC du Mas in Perpignan (Ligue Occitanie),
  2. From September 11 to 13 at the Les Pyramides club at Port Marly (Ile-de-France League),
  3. From September 25 to 27 in Toulouse Padel Club (Occitanie League),
  4. October 9-11 at El Padel Wambrechies Club (Hauts-de-France League),
  5. From 23 to 25 October to Padel Horizon of Sucy-en-Brie (Ile-de-France League),
  6. From December 4 to 6 at the Big Padel in Mérignac (Ligue Nouvelle-Aquitaine).

Organized over three days, the tournaments will start with qualifying on Friday before giving way to the final tables from Saturday morning.

FFT support for clubs

Committed to the development of padel, FFT supports the organization of these tournaments. It financially supports the host clubs by taking charge of the prize money awarded during each event and the costs of the referee.

With its territorial network, these six tournaments will be an opportunity to support the host clubs in the resumption of activity. Thus the FFT helps affiliated and authorized clubs to Padel, essential links as close as possible to practitioners.

Expanded Team France gathering

Before the first tournament, a gathering of players selectable in Teams of France Seniors will be scheduled at the Mas Tennis Club, in Perpignan from August 19 to 21. A training course for the French Teams will also be organized before the World Championships which will take place in Doha from November 16 to 22, 2020. The date and place have not yet been fixed.

Discipline in full swing, the Padel every year attracts more and more practitioners (currently around 70 in France), who take advantage of the multiplication of sites (more than 000 in France) to indulge their new passion in authorized and affiliated structures.
