This is a first in a French tournament that is not reserved for wheelchair padel players: a man and a woman playing in a wheelchair won a match against a mixed pair of able-bodied players!

This happened this Saturday, May 20 in the south of Alsace, on the occasion of a mixed tournament of the P100 category, organized at 4Padel from Mulhouse. This feat is to be credited Sebastien Huesser, French number 2 in wheelchair padel and captain of the French team that won bronze at the recent Madrid Worldsand of Barbara Baas, one of his training partners, who was playing his first tournament there.

Together, taking advantage of the two rebounds allowed to them, they offered themselves the luxury of beating another mixed pair, but of valid players. According to our information, this is a French first. After its 6th place in a P250 last March, Sébastien Husser ranked this time in 7th place in the tournament alongside Barbara. A very fine performance, which will certainly call for others!

After 40 years of tennis, Jérôme fell into the padel pot in 2018. Since then, he thinks about it every morning while shaving… but never shaves with a pala in hand! A journalist in Alsace, his only ambition is to share his passion with you, whether you speak French, Italian, Spanish or English.
