10 matches were on the program for this second day of the Monaco CMB Master following technical problems on Tuesday. A busy day marked by two surprise eliminations.

Results of the day

The first game set the tone for the day. Manhandled in the face of the pair Restivo/Saenz, the tournament's number 2 seed, Aguirre/Allemandi, was “saved” by the technical problem on Tuesday evening. The Argentines, then led 6/4 4/2, offered themselves a short reprieve. But it was not enough to prevent Restivo/Saenz to achieve the first sensation of the Master by offering the scalp of the number 2 of the circuit of Fabrice Pastor. Victory 6/4 7/5.

In the matches that followed, the hierarchy was respected:

  • Alejandro Urzola – Javier Perez VS Oier Zuazua – Daniel Martinez: 6/2 6/4
  • Santiago Casteñeyra and Oscar Guiral were surprised by the Spanish pair Rodrigo Coello/Daniel Peinado : 2/6 6/3 4/6. The LuckyLosers reach the 1/8th finals.
  • Leonardo Yob – Luciano Puppo VS Joao Caiano – Ramiro Pereyra: 6/3 6/4
  • Pablo Lijo and Miguel Semmler treated their entrance, victory 6/3 6/2 against Federico Mouriño and Facundo Dominguez.
  • Pablo Barrera – Federico Chiostri VS Relis Ferreyra – Martin Abud 6/4 7/5.
  • After the number 2 seed, it is the number 3 seed that has bitten the dust. Juan Ignacio De Pascual and Gonzalo Alfonso fell from very high on the Principality. And yet before the meeting, the two Argentinians were ultra favorites against opponents who had failed in the previa semi-finals. Finally, Marc Pou Serra and Luis Oliver Artigas are drafted for the final draw and achieved the feat against the winners of the Cape Town Masters last February. The Spaniards caused a sensation and won the first set 7/5. De Pascual and Alfonso will have a burst of pride to equalize at a set everywhere. But in the third round, the Argentines struggled to control the game. Marc and Luis seize the opportunity and achieve a perfect third set which allows them to win against all odds in three sets 7/5 4/6 6/4.
  • Number 1s made short work of Rodrigo Lopez and Daniel Blanco, easy 6/1 6/0 win for Maximiliano Arce and Franco Dal Bianco.

Two matches were relocated to Beausoleil

For lack of time but especially because of a problem of timetable on the public road, two meetings were relocated to Beausoleil:

  • The pair 'Pincho' Fernandez/Jose Antonio Diestro made his entry against Santiago Rolla and Facundo Lopez: 6/3 6/3
  • Alex Chozas and Leo Augsburger needed three sets to snatch qualification against Adrian Jimenez and Adrian Lopez: 6/2 5/7 6/2.

Direction the 1/8th finals this Thursday.
