The President of the Egyptian Federation of padel, Ahmed Ghatwary, returned to the development of padel en Egypt and the involvement of his country on the international scene.

30 clubs from 2 to 5 pitches

Today, the country has 120 pitches of padel for 30 clubs padel. On average, we have clubs made up of 2 to 5 pitches.

Having several small clubs is a deliberate policy of the Federation.

Indeed, under the advice of the International Federation of Padel, it is more interesting to create several small clubs all over the country than a few big clubs.

“Plant” land in Egypt

To communicate about this sport and make it known, there is an interest in “planting” land throughout the national territory. We are talking about a country of over 100 million people. It is a population that loves racket sports. So normally Egypt could become a great nation of padel.

Moreover, Egypt has already made history by becoming the first African country to participate in international youth tournaments. This was the case this year in Mexico. Little by little, we are moving forward.

Next year, our equipment is expected to double! Basically we should have close to 200 lots of padel end of 2022!
