At the Mijas Open, Alix Collombon has just won her 5e 8e final of the year. Record beaten for the French, but also French record. Never before had a Frenchman reached the 8e finals on a professional circuit as many times.

Whether at Padel Pro Tour (the old professional circuit) or the World Padel Tour (Since 2013), no Frenchman has succeeded in obtaining such fine performances, men and women alike.

And it's not over. If in Mijas, it will be more about playing a prestigious match against the world numbers Marrero / Ortega, we remember that for the first year of the French on the pro circuit, she had managed to reach a quarter-final in an Open from World Padel Tour. It was in Murcia. Here too, Alix Collombon was the first Frenchwoman to obtain a ticket for a quarterback. And we know that at this rate, with a more lenient picture, our French will have a chance in the coming weeks / months.

With this new 8e final, she is assured with her Spanish partner Nicole Traviesa Mola to climb in the world rankings which bodes well for the rest of her career.

Remember that for now, our French is the 29e world player.

Collombon / Traviesa: a prestigious 8e
