Alix Collombon moved on to Lorenzo Lecci López's microphone after his first round in the P2000 of the Pyramids. She tells us about her news.

AC: I have just returned from Cagliari where we did eighths with my Spanish partner Nicole Traviesa. I arrived at 17 p.m., half an hour before the start of the match! We knew it would be complicated because we lost one day in Cagliari because of the conditions.

But now I'm good in my tournament, we won our first round with Jessica, and we aim for the title as always.

LLL: Tell me about your very fruitful relationship with Nicole Traviesa. What makes it work so well between you?

AC: We've been playing together for two years, we took our automatisms. We train a lot, and she does a lot of physical work. We realized thatwe are able to annoy the best pairs. These last two tournaments, we face in eighth the seeds 3 and 4 and we have a close match. At the previous tournament in Valencia, we beat the pair n ° 9, it is our best result. The next step will be to try to take sets from the best pairs in the world.

LLL: How did you manage the confinement to maintain your physical condition and your technical level?

HUNGRY: I trained like a beast physically. Between 2 and 3 hours of physical activity each day, with a little rest on the weekends but a big routine. I needed to end my day feeling like the day had been used for something. It was quite small, but I bought equipment to do more complete exercises.

I came back in good physical shape. padel it was a bit difficult at first, but it came back pretty quickly.

LLL: This is the first time that you are here at the Pyramides club, what do you think of the facilities?

AC: Frankly, it's great. I was not expecting that at all. The complex as a whole, and the grounds of padel which are awesome. The conditions are perfect and I am delighted to do this first P2000 of the year post-covid here. It is a very beautiful setting.
