La French Tennis Federation set up a questionnaire of 255 questions concerning arbitration in the padel. We attack with the first theme, “the track”; with 13 questions / answers.

It is a rectangle 10 m wide by 20 m long.

What should be the free height over the entire surface of a runway padel ?

7 m minimum for leisure practice and for any competition at departmental, regional or national level.

For all European or international professional competitions: refer to the organizer's Specifications.

How many accesses are recommended on a track of padel ?

Access to a track padel can they have doors?

Yes. Each access is made up of one or two openings, each opening may or may not have a door (which must be open during matches).

4 metres.

Can the back walls be entirely glazed?

No, because the last meter must be made of a metal mesh.

How high should the side walls be?

4 m on the first 2 meters from the bottom of the field, then 3 m afterwards.

Is it authorized to increase the height of the metal mesh beyond the limits provided (by tarpaulins or a net for example)?

Yes (just to prevent balls from going out of bounds).

What should be the dimensions of each safety zone, outside the slopes, so that exits are authorized?

It is recommended to be 3m wide (a width of 2m may be deemed acceptable by the Referee depending on the configuration) by 8m long (centered on the axis of the net).

Can side posts be inside a track?

No, because the net must be 10 m long, like the width of the pitch.

During the rally, can the players touch the walls on their side?

Yes, whether with the body or with the racket.

When play outside the field is authorized, can the players during the exchange touch the walls which are on the side of their opponents?

No, either with the body or with the racquet and this from the middle of the track.

A ball bounces on a line painted in the continuity of the grid. Decision ?

The ball is faulted because this line is outside the track.
