The miracle will not have happened for Alix Collombon et Julieta Bidahorria, sharply defeated by Delfina Brea et Beatriz gonzalez in the second round of P2 in Brussels (6/2 – 6/0).

The Franco-Argentinian pair held strong in the first round, not being left behind on the scoreboard after the first exchanges. The outsiders even got three break points, but they lacked efficiency on the important points, unlike Delfi Brea and Bea Gonzalez who seized the two opportunities presented to them to pocket the first set six games to two.

The second best team on the circuit then accelerated in the second set and no longer left the slightest shooting window to their opponents, while maintaining their flawless performance on break points (3 out of 3, 5 out of 5 in total ). Overwhelmed, Collombon and Bidahorria could do nothing to avoid sinking, scoring only eleven points in this second act. They logically lost 6/2 – 6/0 in just over an hour of play on the Central Court of the Brussels Maritime Station.

Delfina Brea and Beatriz González advance to the quarter-finals where they will cross swords with the Spanish Marta Ortega et Veronica Virseda (TS5), who escaped from the trap that their compatriots wanted to set for them Marina Guinart et Araceli Martinez (3/6 – 6/4 – 6/2).
