At Little Grand Studio in Aubervilliers, we have met Emilie Loit, a figure of French tennis. The former 27th in singles and 15th in doubles at the WTA has chosen to turn to the padel and hopes to do even more soon with the French Tennis Federation.

Emilie shares with us her impressions, her experience and her enthusiasm for this sport.

The FFT offers an incredible track in this studio

Okay, let's be honest, the idea of a track padel does not immediately come to mind when one enters this studio, where there is mainly a cinematic atmosphere.

track of padel fft

This is what gives a distinctive aspect to this track of padel. And Emilie Loit is not against the idea of a “track of padel permanent in this studio”, she says with a touch of irony.

Now in La Baule, Emilie Loit participates in tournaments padel more and more often. She acknowledges that she is “not yet as committed to the padel than it was in tennis”.

However, the left-hander could be a sought-after commodity in the middle of the padel : “It's true that I don't do a lot of tournaments, I did one with my husband (ed. William Bigot, professional tennis coach), and one with Dorine Rabet (ed. padel),” she said, “I've traveled a lot, you have to fly, so I do a lot of practice and a few tournaments, and that's enough for me.”

Dorine already having a partner, Émilie posts her announcement: “I am looking for a partner”.

Engaged in the padel

The former 27th world tennis player is undeniably committed to the padel. “As soon as we can, we play. In winter, we are ready to drive an hour and a half to go and play padel In Nantes. I got totally stung by the padel,” she admits.

When it comes to describing his style of play, Loit thinks for a moment: “That's hot, huh. I would say that I am a rat. I played doubles, so I have a very good end," she said, showing that her tennis experience was beneficial for her transition to padel.

Émilie also mentions the projects she has in mind. “We have plans underway for the start of the school year in September with the French Tennis Federation. It can be in communication, videos… It's in preparation,” while explaining that for the moment, there is nothing validated.

“I think we'll have some great things to offer you at the start of the school year,” she said with a smile. Case to follow.
