This Saturday was a particularly busy day for the French engaged in the Gothenburg FIP Rise in Sweden.

The 10 players from France were still in the running and gave everything to try to win an entry ticket for the quarter-finals. Unfortunately, for all but one, the adventure ended today.

In the men

During the 1/8th finals, Benjamin Tison et son partenaire Victor Mena managed to qualify against another Frenchman, Thomas Leygue and his sidekick Guillem Figuerola. The match between the two Franco-Spanish pairs was very close but it was during a third set at the end of the suspense that the pair Tison - Mena managed to make the difference: 6/4 - 3/6 - 7/6 .

At 18:00 p.m. local time, the native of Mantes-la-Jolie and his teammate entered the central track to try to win their right of way for the semi-finals. Opposed to Simone Cremona and Aris Patiniotis, the Franco-Spanish duo knew how to control their match from start to finish. Solid, the two players managed to impose their game and overcome their opponents. Final score: 6/3 – 6/4 in just one hour of play.

The match of the day is certainly the one between a 100% French-speaking pair made up of Philemon Raichman et Quentin Ayuso Gaspar / Piotto pair. Despite a good comeback in the second half and a disputed third set, the French players saw victory narrowly escape them. They bow 3/6 – 7/6 – 5/7.

Finally, it was the turn of Jeremy Scatena and Dylan Guichard to enter the track. Seeded 8, the two friends fought against the Cassetta / Florensa pair. In a balanced encounter, it was the Hispano-Italian pair who managed to emerge victorious from this confrontation. Final score 7/6 – 6/4.

In the ladies

Wendy Barsotti and Elodie Invernon also joined the party for a moment by winning their 1/8th final against the pair Ligotti / Cossio Capilla with a score of 7/6 – 6/3. A little later in the day, it was on center court that they played their quarter-final against a formidable pair made up of Sweden's Amanda Girdo and Belgium's Helena Wyckaert. Unfortunately for the French, the adventure ends tonight. Wendy and Elodie bow despite a good comeback in the second set 6/3 – 7/6.

A little earlier in the day the other female pair formed by Carla Touly and Charlotte Soubrié lost in the eighth against Carla Castillo and Lorena Alonso De Lera: 7/6 – 1/6 – 6/0.
