This is one of the most anticipated quarterfinal matches which will take place this Friday at Roland-Garros. On one side of the track, on the Philippe-Chatrier, we will have Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan, and on the other, Fernando Belasteguin and Miguel Yanguas. This meeting between the two duos will be the third in three months.

As a reminder, the Spanish-Argentinian pair had managed to eliminate the number 1s in the quarter-finals in Rome in just two sets and barely 1h40 (6/1 – 6/3). Vengeful, the Madrilenian and his teammate took revenge a few days later in Malaga with a 2/6 – 6/3 – 6/2 victory. Today the two teams meet once again in the quarter-finals for a match that promises to be exceptional.

Number 1s back in form

Confident since their title in Finland, the Spaniards managed to win their first two matches in this Paris Major without great difficulty. In fact, it was in two sets each time that the Andalusian and the Madrilenian defeated their opponents. In the 32nd final the Lebron / Galan pair won 7/5 – 6/0 against Diego Gil and Ignacio Sager. And this Thursday it was with a score of 6/4 – 6/1 that the 1st seed defeated the Argentinians Agustin Gomez Silingo and Federico Mouriño

Bela and Yanguas pumped up

For its part, the pair formed by the “legend of pehuajo” and the young Miguel Yanguas seems pumped up.

This Thursday, during their clash against Rubio / Arroyo, the native of Malaga and his partner alternated very good passages and moments of annoyance. In a match marked by several referee's interventions, Bela and “Mike” finally took advantage of Rubio's injury to win. Final score 7/5 – 6/7 – 2/0 (ab).

The day before, the two players had won without too many problems against Javier Valdes and Jose David Sanchez 6/2 – 6/4.

There is no doubt that this quarter-final will be under high tension because if the two players do not come back under pressure, they will have difficulty coping with Juan Lebron and Ale Galan who have been very solid since the start of the week.

Start of hostilities from 17:30 p.m. on Canal + Sport 360.
