Padel Magazine : First question, why did you come to the Cupra Padel Point-Round ?

Jeremy Scatena : “I came here because whenever I can, I try to share my passion and give back what the padel gives me: a little emotion, a lot of happiness! Apart from the training sessions which are a bit tough, being on the pitch is always a pleasure. As soon as I can share this pleasure, I try to do so. »

Padel Magazine : The Cupra Padel-Point Tour has values ​​centered around well-being, pleasure, etc. are these values ​​that speak to you outside of the competitive aspect?

Jeremy Scatena : “Of course, it shows when I play: I'm expressive, I laugh, I yell. This is for me the padel is really a passion, and it's what allows me to get up in the morning and be happy. So it's sure that this kind of event speaks to me "

Padel Magazine : You will play this exhibition match with Mélissa Martin, Maxime Forcin and Tom Mitjana. What beautiful things do you have in store for us?

Jeremy Scatena : “Actually yesterday I kind of imagined what I could do during the show, because it's something I'm going to do more from time to time. I'll try to have fun, I have a few combos to pass during the exhibition. I've set myself some goals, so we'll see what happens. At the end I will tell you if everything is over, I have 4-5 to pass. »

Padel Magazine : Regarding your news, what will you have on the program in the next 2-3 months?

Jérémy Scatena : “With the arrival of the new circuit Premier Padel, it changed my world of tournaments and my goals. Because clearly, playing at Roland-Garros, in Rome, in Mexico in places that are the flagship sites of tennis, it's prestigious and it's sure that I focused on this round there. My main goal is to be top 100 Premier Padel at the end of the year. I don't know if it's going to be possible starting from this far, but I'm having a very good start to the season in terms of points. I have not yet played for very big teams, but these are opportunities that will arise, and from Rome I hope. This is my main objective…and to be number 2 in France too. »

Padel Magazine : If the Cupra Padel-Point Tour or a similar event came to spread on a European scale, but always centered on the padel amateur, would you still be interested in intervening as a "Guest" on this kind of event as well?

Jeremy Scatena : " Of course. As soon as I have free weekends and I have the opportunity to participate in events I will try. I will try for two reasons: we need to earn a living, so sometimes we have to work weekends because we can't only play tournaments; and then to share what we love we are always there, especially at padel Horizon where we had all the players from Yvelines play. We try to play the game and participate in the events that are organized. »

Padel Magazine : Last question, how do you see the padel evolve over the next 2-3 years. Do you think we will have a single circuit which will prevail and have the monopoly, or will we remain in the current situation with several circuits and a confused situation?

Jeremy Scatena: " I think the padel will be modeled on tennis. That is to say that there will be several organizers who will buy dates belonging to a main circuit. And this circuit there will have I hope, maybe 100-150 tournaments with big and small tournaments. And after that it will be up to the players to choose whether they want to participate in a small tournament or try to make a move on a big tournament, I see it like that. On the contrary, for me with the arrival of Premier Padel I think that makes everyone agree.
