In a final marked by rainy conditions, Norman Sanchez and Benjamin Joulot managed to win the P1000 from Nîmes, opposite Gourre / Ferrandez.

The two players respectively ranked n° 23 and 31 in the FFT ranking do not shy away from their pleasure:

“We are super happy with our victory and the tournament. It was a resumption tournament we came with a lot of desire and motivation to prepare as well as possible for the Regionals and the first P2000. Mission successful with our first victory in P1000! ”

“We started our final badly but the credit goes to Jérôme and Rémy who were very aggressive and put us under pressure on every point. The pace was very different from what we experienced and we had trouble adapting.
However, even at 6/0 3/1 we were still very positive and we always believed in it. We felt that things could turn out, that we had to focus on our services and seize any opportunity we had. And that's what happened. We managed to break the slack quickly by tearing off like dogs and the game started to turn as we went. We managed to be more and more aggressive and to neutralize them better in defense. ”

“In the end it is sure that with such a scenario we are doing very well (1 set 1 break and 2 match points saved). But we can't take it away from us we believed in it until the end, we always fought no matter the score we gave everything. We brought out great points on the important moments, that's surely what made the difference. We are super proud of this victory! ”
