During this beautiful regional stage of Head Padel Open (P1000) in Toulouse Padel Club, the French Bastien Blanqué and Johan Bergeron succeed in winning a particularly tough tournament.

"The final before the hour"

After a relatively close match against Cédric Carité and Loïc Le Panse, Bastien Blanque and Johan Bergeron, had to play a match that looked like a final.

Faced with the French pair, the formidable Franco-Spanish pair, Robin Haziza / Roger Arumi Siquier who was the favorite in this tournament. Yet the French pair will come to the end by drawing from the reserves to pass the course of the semifinal.

Jousted in the first set (3-6), Blanqué / Bergeron ended up winning a very good victory in 3 sets (3-6 6-2 6-2).

Note, however, a probable injury to the French champion of padel in title Robin Haziza. This mishap has certainly cost the tournament favorites dear.

In the other semi-final, the other French-Spanish pair of the table, Biegel / Salines, managed to reach the final against one of the best French pairs: Pier Gauthier and Jérôme Ferrandez (7 / 6 6 / 4).

Despite a clear French strategy: to avoid the Spanish Jose Luis Salines, his partner Cédric Biegel made a magnificent match to counter the attacks of Pier Gauthier. In the diagonal of Jose Luis Salines, Jerome Ferrandez: The French will not have managed to muzzle the Spanish. Appraisal: Victines of Salines / Biegel on the score of: 7 / 6 6 / 4)

A one-way finish

The great hopes of padel French against two very experienced players. Passion in the face of wisdom.

In spite of an unbearable heat, the public remained there, taking refuge in the clubhouse which overlooks the central court.

Start of the match very tight with a lot of offsets left and shots in the center by José Luis Salines whose goal was obvious: put a huge pressure on Bastien Blanque and Johan Bergeron.

Obviously it was not counting on an iron defense of Johan Bergeron who was incredible precision and solidity.

Despite outgoing 3 smashes, Bastien Blanqué, extremely skilful and easy in this exercise, was working to counter systematically by the door to the point of disgusting Cédric Biegel who, after 3 or 4 counters successful, was content to smasher the grid or put the ball at the bottom.

Appraisal: A win in 2 6-4 6-3 sets in favor of Blanqué / Bergeron including a huge game ball ...
