"Fiberglass is not resistant! "

That’s the main thought about Fiberglass. It could be reasonable because at first touch it seems like plastic, but in reality, it’s way more resistant than other materials. Just consider that GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) is used for the production of wind turbines, boats, and even for some tools for the Space industry… Myth Busted! "It’s useless to have a Fiberglass court that doesn’t oxidate when I can paint my iron court. "

From a certain point of view, this is true; Fiberglass is chemically impossible that rusts, but an iron court if gets rusty, can be repainted and cover the oxidation, so it’s meaningless to have a Fiberglass court.

From a theoretical point of view, it works like that, but it also means that iron courts rust, and between one and another maintenance to painting the structure, you compulsory see the rust, and the court is dangerous for the players and horrible for the aesthetic. Moreover, apart from being an image fault for the club, it’s also a cost that can be avoided… Myth is not busted, but it would be better to think twice before saying ‘’It’s useless to have a Fiberglass court that does not get rust”.
