Yann Guilcher, co-founder of Instinct magazine Padel, launches Rezo Padel, events all over France that bring together business leaders. They explain.
I pray Padel : combine sport and meeting
I pray Padel is a network of business leaders in Bordeaux who want to combine sport and professional encounters. We want to put the values of sport at the service of business and provide the opportunity to grow everyone's professional circle.
This network was born in January following an idea that had been germinating for a very long time.
A padel-style BNI
I did a lot of BNI (International Business Networks) and I always found it stereotyped, very restrictive, and expensive.
I wanted to find a balance between the fun part of sport and the more serious part of business. A business manager is not especially a boss with 80 employees, there are many liberal professions, self-employed or auto-entrepreneurs who work alone on a daily basis and the importance of forming a network or quite simply of discussing and benefiting from each other's experiences is priceless.
A wide variety of profiles
We really have everything (banker, event company, craftsman, real estate agent, digital creator, commercial) and everyone is welcome.
In terms of age and padel, it is also very diverse (27 to 60 years old and from level 4 to Amélie Detriviere, 6th French player).
A well-established format
We arrive between 9:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. for coffee and we play from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
After a good shower and around a cocktail lunch, we introduce ourselves and discuss with each other to glean information or network.
Theoretically it ends around 14 p.m. but we are always 4 or 5 to be there until 15 p.m. minimum.
These are partnerships, not competition.
There is no real competition, we do climbs/descents or mini-tournaments (we will organize group lessons too)
To participate, it's simple, just send a message on Instagram @rezo-padel-bordeaux or LinkedIn REZO PADEL or contact me by phone at 07.60.06.43.16.
We can do :
- A One Shot (coffee/padel/meal/business 59€), or
- An annual subscription at 539€ (49×11 months) because we don't work in August. We are all in the Bassin d'Arcachon.
We have a group on the second Friday of each month and another group that has just started on Monday.
Two goals: fun and business
The goal is for everyone to find their way in terms of game and business, it's very important for Rezo Padel. We are developing in other cities like Libourne and soon La Rochelle and Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
