In accordance with its development strategy for Padel in France and in order to promote its practice, the French Tennis Federation is launching from next April an unprecedented tour on French territory dedicated to this discipline, entitled the " FFT Padel Tour ". This event will be held in seven major cities.

The installation of Padel as well as a village right in the center of certain towns will allow the general public, via initiations and activities, to discover this particularly fun and accessible sport. At the same time, a circuit of international tournaments, bringing together the best players in the discipline at each stage, will be organized.

The " FFT Padel Tour » will start at Valenciennes (at the club "4 Padel », April 12, 13 and 14), then will continue at Lyon (at the "Esprit Padel », May 10, 11 and 12), at Paris (at the club "Casa Padel », June 14, 15 and 16), at Bordeaux (at the club "4 Padel », July 5, 6 and 7), at Aix en Provence (at the "Country Club Padel », July 12, 13 and 14), at Strasbourg (at the club "4 Padel », September 6, 7 and 8), before ending with a« Masters »at Marseille (in downtown, the 11, 12 and 13 October). During each of these stages, initiations will be offered to spectators, allowing them to appreciate the specificities of the discipline.

The cities of Bordeaux, Marseille and a third to be determined will go further by organizing a "city center" operation, which will provide a magnificent spotlight on this spectacular discipline. On this occasion, two courts as well as a village " Padel »Will take place in the heart of urban areas. These facilities, intended to promote the practice of padel, will allow the public to attend exhibitions of the best players but also to test this discipline (via reserved slots). The village, meanwhile, will host the stands of partners, clubs and the league as well as an entertainment and conviviality area, offering many activities to visitors (contests, photocall, product testing, etc.).

Each tournament (excluding Masters) will see 24 men's teams and a maximum of 16 women's teams compete for the final draws. The " FFT Padel Tour » will end in style with a « Masters », which will take place in Marseille. The 16 best players on the circuit as well as the first 16 players will automatically win their ticket for this final event (8 ladies' and men's teams in total). Each competition belongs to the P2000 category, the highest tournament grade of Padel FFT.

Several international players should participate in this tournament circuit and thus allow this event to benefit from a good international exposure. Through this operation, the FFT also wishes to confirm that France is positioned as a future flagship nation of the Padel.

Discipline in full swing, the Padel every year attracts more and more practitioners (currently around 50 in France), who take advantage of the multiplication of land (nearly 000 in France) to indulge their new passion in the clubs of the FFT.
