In this new post, we are going to list the 3 things you should not do in a match. padel. We are not offering you a miracle recipe, but rather tips to avoid shooting yourself in the foot immediately!

1st thing: do not control your emotions

It's not about completely suppressing your emotions. Which is impossible for ordinary people. But you have to learn to manage them, to control them so as not to get overwhelmed.

Indeed, it is necessary to know how to relativize on what is happening at the present moment. You have to take a step back, look beyond what's going on.

A point is part of a game which is part of a set etc. Just because you lost this point doesn't mean the war is over. You have to have confidence in your qualities, it is essential not that the tension takes you entirely.

If you haven't seized an opportunity in a match, that isn't the end of it. Be aware that you will have more during the game. And if you lose, you have to know how to recognize that the opponent was better in this match.

2nd thing: do not give 100% on the field

There is nothing worse than having a partner (or opponent in a practice match) who is not 100%. Whether at the mental level or at the level physical. Our environment (work, friends, family) influences our behavior in the field. Understand when you step onto the court.

You must not give up at the first difficulty. The situation may get out of your way, that's okay, just think about the next point. Going over past points is useless, you will not be able to change them.

3rd thing: not to have a plan

There is an old saying that you can enter the court with a good or a bad plan, but what you can't do is enter without a plan.

It is not compulsory to know perfectly the game of his opponents.

To have a plan is to have a roadmap to follow throughout the game, already ensuring that we play to our strengths. The goal is to make the opponent play using our own weapon. Without them being able to play on our own weaknesses.

You need a plan A with what you know best. And a plan B, because if you ever fall against a pair against which your plan A does not work, you will need an alternative!
