Disasters are piling up for the Cape Town Masters: the first event of the season for A1 Padel has just suffered a second blow, this Wednesday. After the wind gusts which made it impossible to hold outdoor matches, the competition had to fall back on the center court of Africa Padel club.

And there, another tile: one of the windows at the bottom of the field gave way under the weight of a player who was trying to defend a ball. The scene took place during a match where Oier Zuazua (97th) and Daniel Martinez (94th) led 6/4 4/4 by Yain Melgratti (12th) and Federico Chiostri (7th). It was then that Zuazua hit one of the windows and it gave way, as shown in the video and photo below.

Fortunately, no one was injured, but this incident shocked the players and risks further disruption of this day during which 16 matches were initially scheduled. As for Martinez and Zuaza, they finally broke the house and not just the glass, eliminating the favorites Chiostri Melgratti.

On Instagram, players association has already expressed its support for the organizers, subjected to severe test.
