There is no time!

Padel Magazine : The season is special because we do not know how many tournaments Premier Padel are going to be played. Apart from the Major of Mexico, nothing is announced. Is there room in this calendar to play the 10 tournaments announced at the start of the season?

Ale Galan :"To be honest, I don't think there's time to play ten tournaments of Premier Padel this season. I know that their intention is also to take care of the players' physique. Since they have to build according to the schedule of the World Padel Tour, I sincerely believe that there will not be these ten tournaments.”

Padel Magazine : With this very demanding season that you are going through, can you imagine doing the same thing again in 2023?

Ale Galan:“Today we don't know what tournaments there will be next year. Nothing is official. When we have the dates we will prepare. This season, we have done a very good job, and I think I have never felt better physically. Knock on wood to keep this going.”

Dubai will not leave us indifferents

Padel Magazine : The world will finally be played in Dubai and not in Qatar. Did this announcement surprise you?

Ale Galan: “I saw this very recently. We will therefore not play twice in a row in the same place. Even if Doha is the best World Cup I have ever experienced, I do not think that the organization in Dubai leaves us indifferent.

Padel Magazine : In Cascais the title, here in Stockholm again. When the pace of the season picks up, the Lebron/Galan pair wins.

Ale Galan:“It's true that we have to take advantage of our good momentum. It is a very demanding year with many tournaments. With the level of all the pairs, it's very difficult to reach the final. Juan and I always play to win.”

Difficult to disconnect

Padel Magazine : We are in Sweden, in Stockholm. How do you feel in this city?

Ale Galan: “Good, but I didn't have time to visit the city. The hotel and the Avicii Arena are close together, so we've been focused here all week. We are happy to reach the final again.”

Padel Magazine : The hotel is in the Arena, so you can reach your place of work without even going out into the street. Is it a good thing to stay focused on the goal, or is it difficult to stay all week at your place of work?l ?

Ale Galan: “I think there are positives and negatives. It's true that you are "full time" in the padel, with people who only talk about padel, and it's hard to disconnect. But it's true that you can stay focused constantly, you don't spend energy on transport. It is usual in Sweden for the hotel to be in the Arena. We experienced it in Bastad, in Malmö, and here.”
