A few days ago the World Padel Tour presented its new version 2.0 in an attempt to recover players from the circuit for the next five years.

Remember that for more than a year, and the arrival of Premier Padel, the latter continue to shout their displeasure with the WPT and that the situation is particularly stormy.

It was through a conference orchestrated by Alex Corretja that the circuit launched its new seduction campaign.

Possible reconciliation?

We all know it, the players are fed up with this circuit which claims astronomical sums for participating in competitor's tournaments Premier Padel.

Despite this badly embarked situation, the Spaniard seems determined to pick up the pieces between the two parties and propose areas for improvement to develop the circuit. He took note of the grievances of the PPA and promises to find agreements with them to meet their demands as much as possible. During this famous conference, the Catalan expressed his desire to move forward and invited the players to “leave behind what happened before and keep moving forward together".

A possible reconciliation between the WPT and the players

Sanyo gives its opinion on the situation

In an interview with our colleagues from Olé, the man nicknamed “el Mago de San Luis” confided in us and gave us his opinion on this situation.

As a reminder, the leaders of the Spanish circuit have launched an invitation to players to present the new version of the World Padel Tour, but they did not receive the expected return. proof is Pablo Lijo's open letter addressed to Alex Corretja.

“We received a letter from the WPT with an invitation to introduce us to the “New World Padel Tour”. I think that out of respect for this circuit which has done great things for so many years, with its mistakes of course, we have to give it the opportunity to listen to them. Then we, the players, will make a decision. Above all, I am with the players, and we must remain united.

More tolerant but no less united, Sanyo Gutierrez does not seem closed to discussions with the Spanish circuit. Aware that the WPT has made mistakes, he still believes that for the moment this structure is the one that has done the most for the padel professional. Will he manage to convince his comrades?
