Alix Collombon, 24th player in the ranking of World Padel Tour, gives us some clues about the future of the padel female in 2023. Premier Padel, World Padel Tour, the two ?

The Lyonnaise answers us.

“We are still awaiting the response of the World Padel Tour"

“It's going pretty well. I won't go into detail.

The players' association made a communicated. And we are still waiting for the answer of the World Padel Tour.

This release was done before the holidays now. I think the World Padel Tour could have reacted more quickly.

Obviously, we want to move forward. We are at the end of December. And we have to know what we want to do next year. We will go to the end of the contract. What will happen after 2023 is still unclear.”

“There is a bit of disappointment with the World Padel Tour"

“What is damaging is that we took a lot of time to listen to them and discuss with them. We have been faultless. I believe that with the gentlemen, things happened very differently, to say the least.

We have always respected them. And to see that we make a press release and that we still have no answer… There is a bit of disappointment. We wonder what will happen.

Especially since in the new proposal, we have much less than with the gentlemen, while the World Padel Tour spoke of equality between players – even if I am not a feminist and we know my position on this subject. But it is a whole.”

“I hope to have this freedom to do both circuits”

“All the players are waiting. It has to move forward. The season starts in two months.

I wish I had the freedom to be able to do both circuits. Like the gentlemen.

What would be nice is for the two circuits to get along. What is not good is that we end up with two circuits.

I think it's not good that girls and boys have a different circuit. I am for being with the boys. First, because I believe that the men's circuit is more important than the girls'. And brands will tend to follow the gentlemen's circuit. Even if the public is present at the ladies' matches, we know that the gentlemen bring back a lot of people.

I'm afraid that the padel feminine is not a winner. I have been campaigning from the beginning for the pro women's circuit to be with the men's circuit.

I would like to take a little risk for 2023 and try to follow both circuits. Why not… "
