End this Sunday of the 3rd round of the professional circuit season: the Alicante Open of World Padel Tour. 

Our assessment of this big international week with an exceptional finish.

Correct balance for the French 

On the men's side, 4 teams were engaged in pre-war. Only Robin Haziza failed to pass the first round, again with a difficult draw. 

The pair Bergeron / Moreau has achieved an excellent tournament for a first set with 2 wins in 3 sets. 

Jeremy Scatena and his partner Mark Bernils have not been able to renew their good performance of previous tournaments but maintain a level of play that will probably allow them to review the previas regularly. 

Bastien Blanqué teamed up with a young spanish. Nice discovery with a player with strong potential. Bastien will nonetheless team up with Ben Tison at the next tournament (see below). 

The big absentees of this French side tournament were Ben Tison and Adrien Maigret. For lack of points, they could not qualify for the tournament. During 2 or 3 tournaments, Ben Tison will team with Bastien Blanqué and Adrien Maigret with Robin Haziza. 

In women, very nice tournament of Alix Collombon. A complicated first round against players ranked 35e world and then a 2nd turn against the pair Marrero / Ortega. Very good resistance and defeat 7 / 5 6 / 2. Several opportunities to make the break in the 1er set and a defeat that suggests a nice continuation for this season. 

Léa Godallier and Melissa Martin continue their learning in a very beautiful way. A win against the 80e World while the team was led 1 set to 0 and 2 games to zero in the second. A defeat in the 2nd round pre previas but still a lot of positive on this tournament. 

Laura Clergue continues to experience a complicated season with a dry defeat at 1er previas round. We must continue to cling to regain confidence. 

Navarro / Lebron and Salazar / Sanchez finally sacred! 

After losing the first 2 tournaments in the final, the table was cleared with the early defeats of Maxi Sanchez / Sanyo in men and Marrero / Ortega in women. The 2 teams have seized this opportunity with an 3e consecutive victory for Navarro / Lebron against Bela / Lima with a good big mental cracking of Bela / Lima bonus that seem in doubt. Magnificent coronation of Salazar / Sanchez facing Delfi Bréa and Maria José Alayeto in women. 

2 huge surprises in men, one in women

What about the Ninno / Garrido pair? Out of qualifying, they successively won in 1 / 16, 1 / 8 and 1 / 4 before losing only in 3 sets in half face to Bela / Lima. 

The pair Chingotto / Tello was able to reverse a mountain! By dominating the pair Sanyo / Sanchez, they have done a great service to other players. Unbeatable so far, the pair number 1 world has lost to the power of Tello and face the impossibility of closing a point against the exceptional defender Chingotto. 

In women, we thought to see again the pair Marrero / Ortega at the top. After a first round during which Alix Collombon and her partner Nicole Traviesa were not far from creating a surprise, the 2nd tour will have been fatal.

A failing organization

Organizing an outdoor tournament in Alicante when it is historically known that there are floods at this time of year could already seem like a strange idea. 

But the strangest thing is to have done nothing to predict possible complications related to time. Delays very important, relocated games, relocations finally canceled, players do not know where they will play, continue to play games in a narrow room while there is a day of great sun announced and the complex outside is beautiful ...
