Bastien Blanque and Thomas Leygue win the French Championship of padel 2022. The Toulousain and the Aixois dominate Johan Bergeron and Benjamin Tison in two sets, like a Padel Horizon in April.

We were entitled to same final as last year today at the 2022 French Championships, but the outcome was very different. Indeed, if last season, Bergeron and Tison had their number 1 status respected, this time it was the number 2 who were the strongest.

From the start of the match, the public favorites put pressure on their opponents with a quick break. Benjamin and Johan, despite some flashes, could not find the constancy and solidity that characterizes them. Sometimes gross faults allowed Bastien and Thomas to race in the lead throughout the first set. A first round that they won logically 6/4.

The second set started the same way, with a Blanque/Leygue pair taking the lead quickly. Back to the wall, the seeded 1 was finally starting to play at her best.

The beautiful exchanges multiplied and the spectators could appreciate a suspenseful end of the set. And it was after a boiling tie-break, where match points and set points alternated, that Bastien Blanque and Thomas Leygue won the title on this central Toulouse track. Padel Club. The fourth for Blanque, who is tied with Bergeron at the head of the french prize list, the first for the young Leygue.
