After dealing with point allocation system and prize money, we can now make a summary of the modalities of the Cupra FIP Tour. Tournament categories are compartmentalized according to their prestige, but also the points they award and the amount of prize money.

FIP Platinum

The most important category of the Cupra FIP Tour. These tournaments award 200 points to winners, 120 to runners-up and 60 to semi-finalists. The winners win 12.000 euros out of the 60.000 distributed.

FIP Finals

The equivalent of the “Master Finals” for the International Federation of Padel allows champions to earn 150 points. If we do not know the exact amounts awarded to players, the overall prize money will be 40.000 euros.

FIP Gold

For a Gold category tournament, like the one won by Frenchman Benjamin Tison in Dubai, 100 points are offered to the winners, 60 to the finalists and 30 to the semi-finalists. The players share the sum of 25.000 euros, of which 5.000 goes to the winners.

IFJ Star

The Star category competitions represent literally half of the elements of the Gold tournaments: 50 points for the winners, 30 for the finalists and 15 for the semi-finalists, for an overall prize money of 12.500 euros.

FIP Rise

Like the first edition of the FIP Rise Bordeaux, 25 points are awarded to the champions, as well as 1.250 euros for the two players. 15 and 8 points await the finalists and semi-finalists.

Fip Promotion

Finally, the most modest Cupra FIP Tour tournaments only benefit from 2.500 euros in overall prize money. 1.000 euros and 10 points go to the winners. In this category, it is imperative to pass the first round to win a small point in the standings.

Here is the summary table:

A small remark on the balance between men and women: if these scales apply in an equitable way in the male and female competitions, it should be pointed out that the number of tournaments is much higher among the men, which breaks a little the balance.
