About ten days ago, Reunion Island and Mauritius were shaken by a violent cyclone which caused several victims, a lot of injuries and causing many damage.

Several clubs padel were affected by the gusts at more than 200 km/h : the Endémik, TC Dominican, the USPG or BOTC. In these centers, the tracks of padel have been damaged by the squalls.

The gusts completely shook the structure from one of the tracks of the Endémik,: “the plates twisted and the posts moved, which twisted and broke the windows."

After the cyclone passed, the clubs were busy repair the damage and above all, to think about solutions if the case arises again. “We are studying adding struts to put on the bottom posts and also removing window 5 to let the air pass through.“, the club tells us.

Despite everything, the club resumed a normal rhythm. Even if the cyclone will have caused damage, the managers and players keep smiling. They even manage to find irony in all of that : "The grounds of padel don't like winds at 200 km/h, that's for sure."

No worries in any case regarding the P1000 planned at Endémik in May, it will take place!
