Starting tomorrow Friday January 19, 2024, padel will be honored in Milan and the curtain will rise on this long-awaited event intended for the entire community of padel : the Padel Trend Expo.

After the success of last year with the edition “zero“, which involved more than 18 000 people, Padel Trend Expo returns. This is the first major international event entirely dedicated to this constantly growing discipline, with approximately 3 300 clubs and 8 900 grounds on the Italian national territory and more than a million practitioners.

Organized by Next Group, an integrated communications group, in collaboration with the Italian Tennis Federation and Padel and under the patronage of the Municipality of Milan, the entertainment “fair” promises to be even richer in distinguished guests and content. With 120 stands and 145 companies, visitors will be able to stroll through the aisles of the exhibition. The companies will present the latest developments in terms of equipment, but also tourism or health.

What will happen from January 19 to 21 at the Allianz MiCo, a stone's throw from the trendy Citylife district, will be a 3-day experience to be enjoyed once again at a breakneck pace. It will allow visitors from all over the world to immerse themselves in a memorable experience.

We expect a very rich program, with very popular international academies, such as M3 Padel Academy, Sanyo Academy, cepac Padel Academy, Padela, Rafael Nadal Academy, Royal Padel Academy, SPH et MVM.

There will also be exhibitions and shows by many renowned players such as Pablo Lima, Mati Diaz, mike yanguas, Javier Garrido, Momo Gonzalez, Gonzalo Rubio, Teodoro Victor Zapata, Gemma Triay, Eli Amatrian, Veronica Virseda, Carolina orsi, and many others. Of the clinics intended for the public will also be provided by world-renowned coaches such as Juanjo Gutierrez, Manu Martin, Claudio Gilardoni, Martin Echegaray, etc.

STANDS AND TRACKS LOCATIONS

Like the previous year, numerous events will take place on site involving personalities from cinema, radio and television. The event will also feature unmissable matches between former football, tennis, basketball, volleyball and rugby stars.

Activities of the Italian Tennis Federation and padel

The important partnership with the Italian Tennis Federation and padel has also been confirmed for 2024. The latter will exhibit at its stand the legendary Davis Cup, recently won in Malaga.

In this second edition, the FITP will also carry out various preparatory and competitive activities on court number 1 reserved for it. There will be educational courses for primary and secondary school students, with demonstrations and explanations of basic strokes, to start taking the first steps in the padel. There will also be tactical exercises and techniques intended for school children padel FITP who have already acquired the basics of this sport.

Don't miss important FITP events such as the project Wheelchair dedicated to inclusion, the Content Creator Super Tiebreak with the participation of the youngest and the finals of the historic TPRA friendly tournament.

Finally, for the many beginners and curious about secondary schools, do not miss the baptism of pickleball, new racket specialty which will be introduced by qualified teachers from the Federation, through mini-courses and friendly matches organized on two tracks present during the fair.

Padel and inclusion, a necessity

Many events focused on social inclusion took place in 2023 and the second edition will be even richer in content. Athletes with motor disabilities from the Spinal Unit of the Niguarda Hospital in Milan will start on the field testing the new wheelchair. padel APTA designed to meet the needs of clubs and athletes.

The European event of Padel Mixto under the eyes of the representative of the Entain Foundation, which has supported social inclusion and overcoming certain economic barriers for years, will represent England on the ground to demonstrate the proximity and collaboration within the Mixto project .

As part of this event Padel Mixto, one masterclass will also be organized for instructors coming from all over Italy to share and present the best practices established to promote the discipline, where disabled and non-disabled athletes play as a team, and to develop the program in clubs in 2024. Finally, the final stages of theinclusive Padel Tour, an event reserved for players with motor disabilities and organized by the Paralympic athlete Alessandro Ossola, will close the three days of inclusion.

Fight against isolation

It is also worth noting the great initiative “Ball in the Center"On Francesca Rava Foundation NPH Italia ETS aimed at adolescents and young adults running at the Cesare Beccaria Institute for Juveniles. Thanks to a cooperation agreement signed in July 2020 with the Milan Juvenile Court and the Criminal Justice Center for Lombardy, this initiative aims to combat the isolation of young people who have followed a criminal path.

A delegation will be present on saturday january 20 during the event in collaboration with one of the invited players, Carlos Perez Cabeza, who has already devoted a lot of attention to young people by giving them lessons and telling stories from his professional life.
