The team matches of padel in France could start in 2022! The FFT is currently working on the creation of the French Senior Interclub Championships for next season.

If for the moment the 2022 interclubs have not been definitively validated, the FFT hopes to see this file recorded for the next sports start.

A file that dates

A file which actually dates from 2016/2017. Already at the time, many clubs had requested the establishment of these French interclub championships. The new team chaired by Arnaud Di Pasquale wants pick up the pace.

While it is difficult to see the FFT registering all the current cases from 2022, it wishes to unblock certain situations. The PACA league, which was the first league to set up its own interclub championships. Christian Collange, the Mister Padel of the PACA league, could finally see this objective duplicated throughout France.

Interclub organizations padel

Each team will be made up of 4 pairs: 2 men, 1 women and 1 mixed. Mixed players may or may not have taken part in men's or women's matches (therefore, a team will be composed of 6 to 8 players maximum).

The Leagues will be perfectly free to organize their Championship as they wish (tables or pools, several divisions if necessary according to the weight of the teams), and will designate a team (a club) regional winner and therefore qualified for the French Championships.

In the event of a tie at 2 everywhere, and during a knockout match, a draw will be made between the 4 matches already played. A super decisive 10-point game will then be played to determine the winning team.
