The Swedish company Padelx opened tracks of padel right in the heart of Dubai's Jumeirah Lake Towers. Those who work in this business center have noticed that these lands have a special feature: they float on the artificial body of water!

Accessible via a footbridge, the platform on which the two pitches rest is anchored to the bottom of the artificial lake: there is no risk of drifting if the support is too strong. However, it is better to avoid going to defend the par 3 too far at the risk of ending up soaked! Each track can be reserved for around 50 euros per hour from 6am to 23pm via Playtomic app.

The general manager of Padelx, Sofie Kallstrom, says of this project: “An active lifestyle should be fun, and this short is proof of that […] Our premier padel floating in Dubai is the first chapter in a hopefully long story and a way to build the sports ecosystem here in the Middle East.”

This original approach is therefore part of a process of developing the padel which has already largely begun to establish itself in this corner of the planet with the World Padel Championship in Dubai last year as well as a major event in the Premier Padel in Doha.
