The French Tennis Federation has selected the four male and four female players who will represent France at the European Games in Poland from June 21, 2023 to July 2, 2023.

It will be a historic moment since the padel will take his first steps in an Olympic competition.

Supported by Robin Haziza, women's coach and Pablo Ayma, men's coaches, the FFT has chosen:

  • Jessica Ginier and Lucile Pothier
  • Charlotte Soubrié and Carla Touly
  • Benjamin Tison and Adrien Maigret
  • Jeremy Scatena and Thomas Leygue

No real surprise at the ladies, in the absence of Alix Collombon and Léa Godallier, Robin Haziza decided to bet on the Soubrié / Touly and Ginier / Pothier pairs at the European Games. Indeed, these are the two duos who have been the strongest in France at the start of the season.

The French Champions, who have decided to skip these European Games because of the WPT Master in Valladolid which is taking place at the same time, will obviously be missing from the selection.

In the men, there are four players who were present during the bronze medal obtained in Dubai. We will of course have the pair Benjamin Tison / Adrien Maigret, accompanied by two players still in sight on the FIP circuit, Thomas Leygue and Jérémy Scatena.

We imagine that the reigning French Champion alongside Thomas Leygue, Bastien Blanqué, pays for his complicated start to the season. Max Moreau, who meanwhile made a very interesting start to the season, was certainly not far from the selection.
