Fernando Belasteguin posted an official statement on his absence from Human Padel Open, the stage of World Padel Tour which starts in Toulouse in a week. The reason ? A sanction imposed on him by the WPT for a game fact during the Vigo tournament.

Bad news for the player, for his partner Mike Yanguas, but also and above all for all the fans. The organizer is obviously impacted. This decision of World Padel Tour will soon be analyzed by the team of Padel Magazine.

An economic and sporting sanction

“I am really sorry to announce that I will not be able to play the next tournament in France.

Le World Padel Tour officially informed me last Thursday during the Marbella Master, that in addition to a fine and an economic sanction (amount greater than the Prize money received), I was also inflicted with a sporting sanction, prohibiting me from playing in the next tournament of the French Open padel, due to my driving error in Vigo during my incident with the microphone on the bench.

As I did in due time apologizing in the post that the World Padel Tour posted on his social media, showing the world a misconduct at a tense moment on the bench, today I would like to apologize to the French public for not being able to come and play the tournament on the floor French.

I hope to have the opportunity to play again in France soon.

I will continue to train with the same passion that I have had throughout my sports career.

Greetings to all followers and lovers of our beautiful sport, THE PADEL.
