In the North of France, we cannot say that the padel has already made its nest. Only 14 tracks of padel for the entire city… it’s not much.

Today, two clubs offer the practice of padel. The Shaft, badminton complex and padel, who proposes 3 tracks. And the UrbanPadel, which has two centers, including one which opened its doors a few days ago: UrbanPadel Bondues, with 4 tracks. As well as the old complex UrbanPadel Lille-Lezennes, with 7 tracks indoor.

There are 230.000 inhabitants in Lille, not counting the entire surrounding area. Of course, not everyone plays padel but for a metropolis, only 14 tracks padel, it's not sufficient.

Group 4Padel, currently absent from this area, plans to come and settle down with no less than 17 tracks, distributed in two centers.

Both clubs should open by July 2025, so you will still have to be a little patient. The Lille-Seclin complex will have the right to 8 lands and the Lille – Villeneuve d’Ascq complex in will have 9.

The opening of these complexes will double the number of tracks available for Lille residents within a year. In addition, with the number of projects padel flourishing almost everywhere in France, we are not safe from other clubs being set up between now and then. Time will tell us !

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
