Approaching the European Games which will soon take place in Poland, the FIP praised through a press release the many qualities of the host city, Krakow.

The countdown to the European Games is on

“We are 90 days away from the European Games in Krakow, the final stages of the three tournaments of padel will take place in the city's iconic square.

Twenty-three countries. Five days of competition. One hundred and twenty-eight athletes on the court. Nine medals. Three disciplines: Male, Female and Mixed. And a cry: “We are Unity”, the universal motto of the next European Games scheduled for Krakow, Poland, from June 21 to July 2.

Krakow, host city with a historic past

The tournament padel of the event, a direct emanation of the European Olympic Committees, will last five days and will have its epilogue – the semi-finals and the final – in the historic and extraordinary Old Town Market Square of Krakow, a jewel set in urban reality of the ancient Polish city founded in 965.

This square, which since its origins has been the beating heart of Krakow's social and political life, is a symbol not only of the country's history, but also of tourism, thanks to its leisure and entertainment possibilities.

The Place du Marché, a symbol of sociability and friendship, will be the “stadium” where the bronze, silver and gold medals of the European Games in our discipline will be awarded.

Yes, the land padel for the crucial stages of the three tournaments of padel will be mounted directly on the Market place.

There could not be a more representative and metaphorical place for the five days of padel, a discipline that has known and knows its growth precisely thanks to the strong impulse towards sociality, inclusion, cultural exchange.

This is how our sport lives the dream of participating in a competition in which the five Olympic circles stand out, a goal dreamed of and pursued by all athletes in the world.

Le padel is able to find new energy precisely in the tens of thousands of “boxes” – clubs around the world, formidable instruments of passion and dissemination of our sport – thanks to the work of the National Federations, the FIP, the players and associations of players, as well as to the attention and support of the European Olympic Committees.

There are exactly 90 days left before the opening of the European Games, which will feature 29 disciplines in which the best national teams from all European countries will participate.

There is only one thing to add: we can't wait to see and join it all! "
