In a little over a month, the French Championships padel 2021 will take place at Win Win Padel de Cabriès on September 24, 25 and 26.

Let's take a look at the pairs qualified at the regional championships of padel and those which have been automatically qualified due to the participation of at least one of the two players in the European Championships.

Among the men, a favorite pair, and many contenders!

On the men's side, the favorite pair is the one made up of Johan Bergeron and Benjamin Tison. The two best-ranked French people on the World Padel Tour won the first big event of 2021: the P2000 from Perpignan !

Johan and Ben will still have to beware because the competition is tough behind them. Several pairs with players from (or close to) the France team will also want their piece of the cake: Blanqué / Leygue, Maigret / Peyrou, Haziza / Scatena, Inzerillo / Moreau, Authier / Lopes and Auradou / Valsot in the lead.

But that's not all, besides this group of “tricolors”, other duos have long teeth and there could be many surprises. We think of Joulot / Sanchez, Boissé / Le Panse, Pecquery / Ritz, Ferrandez / Gourre, Foure / Garcia… Very difficult to find a hierarchy as all these teams seem close in terms of level. One thing is certain, with such a density, we will feast on the side of Cabriès!

Among girls, who to beat Collombon / Godallier?

When the two best French players join forces, it is inevitably scary! Even if Léa Godallier has been playing on the right since her debut in the padel, the player from Papeete has shown that she is not clumsy at all on the left side. With Alix Collombon, they are imposed in Perpignan without losing a single set. Given the current level of these two on the World Padel Tour, we say to ourselves that there is still a gap with the rest of the players and it is difficult to see who will be able to steal the show from them at the French Championships.

The fight for places of honor should however be exciting, with several pairs that seem close in terms of level. As with the men, of course we first think of the pairs formed by the players of the extended group of the France team. Detriviere / Vo, Soubrie / Vandaele, Ligi / Martin, Invernon / Sorel, players who have been among the best in France for a while and who will want to prove it again at the end of September. Without forgetting of course the young Barsotti and Pothier, who are pushing as shown by their 4th place in the P2000 of Perpignan!

Behind this group, there should also be a fierce battle with several teams which seem quite close: Alquier / Lovera, Villeminot / Kik, Boitier Legourd / Fontaine, Clement / Pironneau, Lambregts / Maignien… The end of September promises to be hot in the next to WinWin Cabriès!
