For their very first tournament together, Momo Gonzalez and Mike Yanguas won at Reus.

Even if they were the great favorites of the competition in view of their respective ranking, the malagueños showed that they already had good automatisms.

But it was not all easy! In the semi-final against Moyano / Gil, the Andalusians showed great strength of character after losing 4/6 in the first round. Jostled, they managed to reverse the trend to pocket the next two sets: 7/5 6/0.

In the final against Fernandez / Diestro, they were again very comfortable in the hot moments 6/3 7/6.

Momo González, who formed a very strong pair with Alex Ruiz, has found another player from Málaga to replace him: his Spain teammate Yanguas. And it seems that this first victory validates his choice!

They are now expected in a more elevated context, in Granada, the scene of the next competition of the World Padel Tour. A tournament which begins next week and which will see many new pairs trying to do well. The one formed by the two vice-world champions of padel 2022 will definitely be one of them!
