The lists Italian of players selected for the World Championships came out. In the ladies, Italy presents a very strong team.

A strengthened team

On the women's side, Italy is positioned as the favorite for 3rd place in these Worlds with Portugal and ahead of France.

Note the presence of Roberta Vinci. The former tennis player, clay court specialist, converted to padel at record speed. It thus integrates the selection “blue".

Here is the full list of Italian players:

Giulia Sussarello (No. 39 in the ranking World Padel Tour)
Carolina Orsi (#49)
Chiara Pappacena (#64)
Roberta Vinci (No. 66)
Emily Stellato (#68)
Carolina Petrelli (#69)
Giorgia Marchetti (#82)
Valentina Tommasi (#102)

Perino, the headliner

Among the men, Denis Perino will be the only Italian-Argentinian player. The policy of the FIT is to favor 100% Italian players, and it therefore did not retain a certain Andres Britos. The list is therefore less extensive than it could be.

But be careful, Italy will still be a nation to be taken seriously, and a potential duel with France would be balanced on paper, and as often probably electric!

Here is the full list of Italian players:

Denis Perino (n°48 FIP ranking)
Simone Cremona (#114)
Marco Cassetta (#115)
Daniele Cattaneo (#122)
Riccardo Sinicropi (#125)
Lorenzo Di Giovanni (No. 149)
Marcelo Capitani (#156)
Giulio Graziotti (No. 357)
