It is within the framework of the 3rd stage of the Cupra Padel Point Tour 2023 in Strasbourg that Alice de Caunes interviewed for Padel Magazine Jérôme Inzerillo, the French n°6 and n°137 at the FIP.

The Cupra Padel Point Tour, a good thing for the padel !

“I think this event is great for the padel amateur with “clinics”, exhibitions. There are also a lot of gifts to be won and I think that's something incredible in the padel, especially in amateur tournaments.”

“So I think we have to continue like this!”

2023 targets

“The project has been clear to me for two years, it is to play the FIP circuit and Premier Padel. I therefore invest myself thoroughly in this project and then if there are A1 tournaments, I will do them if there are no FIP tournaments. I have big goals for 2023 and we will try to achieve them.”

The return of Inzerillo-Moreau

“I started with a Spaniard, Alvaro, with whom it ended. And there, I will play again with Maxime (Moreau) on the next tournaments and I hope that it will go well. We will try to get as many wins as possible.”

A look back at 2022

“A little disappointed to have still missed 4 Premier Padel. It's true that it was a year where you had to travel a lot and the ones I missed were in Argentina and Mexico. And also because I have partners who haven't fully invested themselves, so there you have it, a bit of disappointment with that.

But I don't finish very far from my goal, so I think it's encouraging for this year if I play all the tournaments hard.

Be part of the top 100

“The goal is clear: it's to get into the top 100 and try to get into the final draw at Roland-Garros. We will have to play well until Roland.”

An absence from Bordeaux FIP

“I really wanted to do this tournament. I am very disappointed and very sad not to be able to do this. I broke my foot and I've had it for a month, it's been two weeks already since I hurt myself.

There is a little rest and then there will be two big tournaments in May, two FIP Stars, so we will have to be ready!”

A new club of padel ?

“Since January, I joined the Paris Country Club!

It's a comeback since I left three years ago, and I'm coming back to this magnificent club. I try to develop the structure thoroughly and it takes a lot.”
